If you pay income taxes to the State of Arizona, you can earn
a valuable “Working Poor” Charitable Tax Credit (ARS 43-1088)
when you give to the Pima Council on Aging, a 501 (c) 3. The maximum
tax credit you can claim is based on your personal tax situation
and whether you file a joint or individual tax return.

If you donate to a qualifying charitable organization in Arizona by Dec. 31, you can claim a tax credit for 2012 that reduces dollar for dollar what you pay in state income tax.
Couples who file jointly can reduce their state taxes by up to $400; individuals or head of household filers can claim a tax credit of up to $200.
The money you would otherwise pay in taxes can benefit your community through the organizations that you choose!
